Hey peeps!

Im almost through my 6 mo supervised diet (feels like a slow walk to the slaughter).  Im really ready and cant seem to focus on anything but this surgery.  April 12th is the last of 6 appts.  I keep comin here and reading and looking at all the amazing B&A pics.

I dont have a date yet but will post when I get one.

Check with your insurance....a six month supervised diet typically means 7 full visits.  At least everyone I know had to complete seven monthly visits (I have BCBSAL).  Regardless, keep up your monthly visits while you are waiting to get approved because you just never know what your insurance company is going to want.  It took me a couple of extra months to get approved (denied initially) and I was glad that I kept  up my appointments.

Hello and welcome to the Bama Board!!!!  As Jackie said, verify that you do not have to go 7 times.  I had to go 7 times.  Please let us hear from you as to how things are going.  It is so great to have you here. 

Welcome and best wishes on your journey! As Jackie and Carmen said, make sure you get in 7 visits. The first would be the consult and beginning and then 6 visits after that.  Keep on truckin' and you will get there before you know it!!

I will call the nurse care coordinator tommorrow.  Thanks for the heads up on that.  I gotta find a nutritionist/dietician tommorrow.  Any suggestions in the HSV area? 

I had my first 6 mo appt on november 11th.  Ive been once a mo on or about the 11th or 12th every month (dec, jan, feb and now getting ready to go on March 12th.)  Any idea when Im done?
