Netflix?

Do any of you use the Netflix service and if so, what have your experiences been with it?

I am not much for watching movies because...

1) I don't want to pay to go to a theater

2) If I rent them, it is inconvenient and sometimes I
end up being late taking them back and owe extra
fees

and..

3) If I get still for long enough to watch a movie,
I may well be asleep before it is over.

So--I was thinking if the movies were delivered to me at home and I just put them in the mail to send them back, that would eleminate most of my problem with the convenience and late fee factors.
They seem to have several affordable plans. I may go ahead and sign up for the free trial and just see how it goes. Looks like they don't require a contract so if it does not work for me, I could always cancel.

Any of you have any guidance regarding this?

Thanks in advance.

I used Netflix for years before finally switching over to Blockbuster's online service (same concept only less expensive and you can also trade your movies in at your local Blockbuster if you don't wanna wait until your next movie arrives).  I love the flexibility of being able to keep a movie as long as I want.  I am like you...I fall asleep during movies and with my school schedule, it's nice that I can watch a movie whenever I want without worrying about late fees.  I personally prefer Blockbuster's program over Netflix, but I never has any problems with Netflix...just a personal preference.  I say go for it!

I used netflix and loved it.  The reason I stopped was because I was getting them and then no****ching them because I just did not have time.  I loved it though.

Carolyn,
I love netflix. We have used them in the past.I like the fact that all movies are at your fingertips whenever ready and their que..(sp?)is a great thing as well because you have all the movies you want picked out and they just send them after you return the other one. It usually takes about 2-3 days for the movies to arrive at your house. I am with Sandy...GO FOR IT!!!!
Hope you have a blessed night!

With God's Amazing Love,

I LOVE NETFLIX!

I can watch movied that are marked watch now.. and watch them instanly right on the computer. As I put new releases and movies not available for the view now option to come in the mail, I can enjoy the movies in my Queue and I can wait in the mail. The day I mail them back - 2 days later I have a movie - say I mail it Monday they get it Tuesday and by Wednesday I have a movie and 2 times I got another movie the next day. (My netflix mail in is Mobile).
The coolest and best part of netflix, people may not be aware of is that whatever is in my watch instantly queue then my boys can view it on their Xbox 360!!! Yep, all they had to do was log in and they can see what's in my queue and watch it. They can't add or delete but use the computer to make their list and go watch movies in their room! Now that in itself is worth the 9.97 I pay a month.

I use to do Blockbuser, I liked it ok - but the boys didn't have the xbox option nor did I like the fact of driving to Blockbuster and switching out videos on occassions.

Gerry even gave 2 1 month subscriptions to people at our church. And I gave on to my nephew (he's 3 and there is so many movies on there fo rhis age group) You can choose by age group, release date, and choose your preferences.

You will really like it.. it's a luxury that keeps the kids busy!!! :-)

Good morning Carolyn.

WE LOVE NETFLIX!!  It is so convienent.  Just pick the movies you want, they keep them in your list and as you send them back you get one in 2 days.  So much easier than going to rent one and a LOT cheaper!!!  You will LOVE it too!

Get it and enjoy!

I too really love Netflix,  but I do have a complaint to share... that's being on a long waiting list for new releases.  I've started renting alot of my movies at Walmart called "The RedBox".  They are only a $1.00 plus tax.  As long as you return them by 9:00 the following night, you won't be charged a late fee to which is another $1.00.  It's really convenient and most of the times they have all the moves that I am on a waiting list with Netflix.  In fact, I'm seriously thinking of dropping Netflix due to being placed on a long waiting list for new releases all the time.  Going to Walmart and just stopping by the Redbox on my way out is just more convenient in my case.
