What do you want people to say about you ?
at your funeral? How do you want to be remembered? Going through this experience of losing my Uncle made me think about what really counts in life. What will people remember about me when I'm gone? Will it be how much money I have, what my college GPA was, or will it be something that people noticed without my being aware of it?
Believe it or not, everyone impacts someone else everyday. When you open a door for a person whose hands are full, you just impacted that person. With that one act of kindness you said, "You are important enough for me to take time out to make your load a little easier."
People don't just impact others in positive ways - the impression can be negative as well. For example, if you cut in line at the grocery store, restaurant or the bookstore because you're running late you just said through your actions, "My needs are more important than yours."
It's amazing that our words and actions have so much power. People will remember what we said and did in our lives long after our picture fades.
If we impacted someone in a positive way, more than likely, people you never met will know who you were because someone thought so highly of you that they wanted your legacy to live on.
You became famous to a small population because you took the time to care.
When I have left this world I would like to be known as someone who would have given my last dollar to a person that had nothing. Those who think they have no voice to be heard hopefully would also have liked knowing me as a compassionate listener. What would you like to be remembered as?
It's a very important question because you are making an impact on people everyday, and you don't know when your last day will come. It could be tomorrow.
I challenge you, in memory of my Uncle Curtis, to take time this week, and think about the impact you make on others.
Think before you act in a manner or say something that could go against what you want people to see you as. Instead, do something like saying hi to a person on the street or writing a long-awaited letter to a loved one.
Again , How do you want to be remembered ?

I am sorry about your uncle. I love you and you are in my prayers.
I know what I would say about you.. You made pain easier for me when days I felt like crying you brought a ray of laughter right into it. When I wanted to curl up you didn't let me you made me roll on the floor or I had to go wash my drawers. You have been such a good friend to me and I love you. So that's what I would say about you and remember you!! JOY!!
I want people to know I'm with my Father and to celebrate. Have a party. Because I've gone Home. I can say that. It doesn't matter what someone else thinks of me. Surely their will be those who will mourn, but I wish you wouldn't. I wish you would Honor God and come to HIM!
I want you to join me at the great party ever!! We will be waiting!
Thanks for sharing this!
I love you my sista
