Dr. Appointment for~~

my daughter is tomorrow.  She doesn't know it yet.. but since her school is out tomorrow due to some ball tournaments... I'm taking her to the doctor to have her tyroids checked... She keeps gaining weight and is only 13 1/2 years old.. I just don't want her to end up like I was and having to have RNY so young.. I know it's really changed my life to the good.. but since she is so so young.. I want her to try and get her weight under control now..

I'm thinking that they'll draw some blood and I know by just her finding out about that part.. she'll freak out on me.. She really has no clue that I'm taking her... so if you all will pray for me and pray that she can get her weight under control either if it's her tyroids messed up or just overeating... It is really worrying me about her weight...

Good luck today.  If i had done that i would have to get my husband to go as well just to hold him down.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers... We made it through it.. What I done was wrote the doctor a note that I wanted to talk with him before he came into the room to see her.  So.. I went into another room and sit down and explained to him about her weight issue and how i really felt he needed to talk with her to make her think about her health.. so from there.. he did.. and did a good job at making her feel comfy.. He ordered some blood work and that went well too... sheww just glad the visit was over... I will say that the doctor asked her if she would consider surgery like I had... she really didn't say anything till after he left the room.. she looked over at me and said.. there's no way in this world that I would have surgery to loose weight... I was like why....?  From there we got into a long decussion that I won't get into here... but anyhow.. we should get the results of her tyroid test on Monday... Sorry for Rambling so....
