SONday morning Coffee Anyone?

Well, good morning everyone!  How did you sleep?  I slept good.  I can just feel it.  Today is going to be a great day.  I feel good this morning.  It is an awesome morning to be alive.  I have a friend that says "Any day above the ground is a good day".  So true!  No matter how bad things are, you are alive and that makes it a good day!  No matter what you are facing, it could always be worse.  So, lets all think about this........"This is the day the Lord made, He makes no bad days.  We create bad days (or others around us) and I choose to make this a good day and I will rejoice in THIS day! 

I'm enjoying some awesome Maxwell House coffee this morning.  It sure is good.  What are you up to this morning?  What cha sipping on?  

I have made home made soup and a crock pot full of black eye peas.  I will make corn bread after church.  This sounds so good to me today.

I must be old.  I check the obituaries to see if my name is in there.  If not I have to get up and go   Want some fresh rutabagas with tops to go with your soup, black eyes and corn bread? 

Heading back to the kitchen for my Columbian Supreme.  Sooo good this rainy morning.

OH MY!  Rutabagas sound so good too.  I bet I couldn't get Lucy to eat them though.  She doesn't like collards, turnips or anything like that.  HAHA!!

These are fresh off the farm and will make you want to "slap yo mama"    Lucy just don't know what she is missing.  I have a friend from Wisconsin and we have YET to get him to eat anything green other than lettuce.

Gooood Morning!

Good morning everyone. I think I slept a bit better last night. I stayed in bed a bit later this morning, something I shouldnt do but it was warm and I was just enjoying the quiet time.
I am with Lucy, being from the north I never had greens until moving here I am not very fond of them either

I may have been born and rasied in the deep south, but I never developed a taste for greens.  I am the odd one out among my family and friends because they all love them (except my husband).   I can chow down on some black-eyed peas and cornbread though.  Yum Yum!

I don't have anything great planned for this glorious day.  Just a little more time with my sweet AnnaBelle before she goes back to her mom today.   Then it's just R&R time for this gal. The house is clean and the laundry is done, which is a great feeling...to know you can just chill out for a change.
