Iron shots???

Has anyone had to have a monthly iron shot?  I have heard of iron fusions and of course the pills but not a shot?  I have to have one on Monday. Just looking for info.

Hey Angie. I did the injections before the infusions. Just be prepared for the stains that take almost a year to get rid of. As Billy can tell you they should be given Z track with a long needle . Even that way they will still stain. I did mine back in 87 and 88 and don't remember much about the pain but they do hurt a little bit more than just a regular injection.
