Life is Short
We received terrible news today at school. One of our doctoral students died of a heart attack. He was in his 30s and leaves a wife and small children. You could not have asked for a more sincere, caring, and upright young man. He was definitely the spiritual leader of his home and often a shepard to others in the kindest of ways.
HIs death reminds me that life is very short and death can be very unexpected. I only wish that people could say of me what they can say of this young man. His life was truely an example of how to live. I am so sorry that he is gone and we will all miss him greatly.
I am also reminded that the life we lead is the greatest testimony to who we are and what we believe. May the Grace of God bless each of you today and the days to come that you may live the greatest testimony possible. Love to you all.
I am so sorry for the loss of your friend, Karla.
Life is short and we never know when we will be called home.
Sounds like you lost a dear friend who made a big impact with his light.
I often think of Donna and how her life impacted mine. Friends like these we never forget.

Karla, you are so right! We are not promised anything, and we often forget to appreciate the life we have. It is always sad when someone so young dies. It sounds like you were lucky to know this young man. I hope his family will be okay.
We have a dear friend form the military career who is terminally ill w/cancer. His name is Gary Gibbs, and he lives in Port Charlotte, FL.
He is in his mid 60's. I have so many happy memories of him over teh years, and I sent him a card today telling him just that and thanking him for being my friend. I hope he gets to read it and he knows just how I feel about him.
Take care, my friend.
