Prayers requested as Another friend has passed

I was informed tonight that a friend who had RNY 4 years ago, passed away last night. She had an undiagnosed bowel obstruction, she apparently passed from sepsis after the bowel ruptured. Please remember the Fears family from Dothan as they mourn the loss of a wife and mother.

Oh Lisa , am so sorry,,,, Did she not have any symptoms or they just couldnt figure it out...

Yes...she was symptomatic....pain, nausea, no desire to eat. Felt bloated. She was seen in the ER and told it was a stomach virus. Sent home. Returned to the ER the next evening, then she was transferred by Ambulance to Mobile where her RNY surgery was done in 2004 but by that time she was far too sick and she passed.

It's a reminder to us all to be ever vigilant....None of us are removed from the risks of obesity or the fight against obesity.
