Calling all creative people....and all others too....

I REALLY, REALLY need your help here......  My son Scott is getting married next Saturday in Texas.  I thought they were going to order the groom's cake there and I was just going to pay for it.  They did not.....  I have ordered a cake here and will be taking it to Texas Thursday.  Scott is an avid Alabama fan so I have ordered an Alabama cake.  He has the Bear hat (hounds tooth).  He is also a musician.  He plays keyboard and piano for a professional gospel group.  My thoughts were to do some pictures of Scott when he was a baby, young child, teen and adult and show some of his interests.  I thought about making a collage and do a caption "The many faces of Scott".  I would like to use some musical instruments on the table also.  I have a Baby Grand Piano, Bass Fiddle.  I even have the first accoradian we got him when he was little.
Okay, your assignment is to expound on this.  Give me some ideas how to make this work.  Anyone want to go to Texas and help me decorate?????

I am in Texas now, wish I could stay and meet you somewhere and help, but I have to be at work on Monday.  Let me think about this and see if I can think of something.

Oh my dear Karla, you are most likely one of the most creative people on this board!!  I would love for you to be able to help me also.  I am returning to work on Monday also.  I will work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  We leave for Texas on Thursday.  The rehearsal is Friday and the wedding Saturday.  I have pans of lasagna to take with me.  That is what I am making for the dinner.  I will do a salad and bread.  I am going to pick up a couple of cakes for dessert.  I still have not decided about the drinks.
Let me know if you have any ideas how I can do the table at the reception.

That sounds great to me Debbie.  As most you know, I am not creative without instructions, and sometimes even then, I can't do it.  I know you will make it beautiful for him.  You all have a great time in Texas.  I love that state.  Love you!!
