Beautiful NEW YEARS lunch

We had a wonderful time of gathering for our New Years Day lunch.  I got up early and started cooking.  The pork roast cooked all night in the crockpot.  I made boiled cabbage with bacon, blackeye peas with a hunk of ham (served with Chow chow) mashed potatoes deviled eggs, cornbread, rolls and sf peach cobbler.  My Dad and uncle came over,  My uncle is heading back to Florida in the morning.  It's been so good having him stay with  my Daddy the last 2 weeks.  It's been good for Daddy to have someone else around and most of his 10 brothers and sisters have been up and over at some time or another during the holidays.  One night he had 3 of his brothers spending the night.  I thought that was so sweet.  Jill was off work this morning (goes in this afternoon) and Kyle and I all had a great time of eating and fellowship together.  I packed my Daddy two togo plates  Kyle is still not feeling up to par.  Actually not well at all and still has to report to work tomorrow at 6 am.  Please keep him and us in your thoughts and prayers.

Edited to add:  Christian slept through lunch but is up now and ready to eat. :)
