It’s bad news for taxpayers, Close it and board it up for good.
I don't believe in Santa Claus as real person in the present time. I do believe that the idea behind "Santa" came from Saint Nicholas .

Edited to correct me spelling

Okay, Kim, I will be the first to bite this hook.

1.) I think the auto bailout is what it is.  I am personally proud of our Senator Richard Shelby for his outspoken opinion of it.  I think he is a fine representation of my district.
2.) I have mixed feelings about it's failure.  My heart goes out to the men or women and their families who will suffer if they lose their jobs. It is sad that there seems to be a trail of corruption and greed behind a lot of this recession.
3.) Yes, I believe in Santa Claus.  Not only do I believe in him, I have proof of his existence.
Santa Claus, means, Saint Nicholas. He lived in the City of Myra in Asia Minor in the fourth century after the birth of Christ. He was very wealthy and known for his generousity, though he wanted to remain humble in his givings, seeking to be rewarded not on earth for his kindness, but in Heaven. He became a Bishop. He was instrumental in helping innocent men during the reign of Constantine.

Santa Claus or Saint Nicholas taught us the lesson of love and generousity through the act of gift giving. By his example, we can realize that gift giving, in presents, money, or food, brings honor and glory to the Lord, not ourselves.

So yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.  And he continues to live in the hearts of men and women today.

*edited to add, that I am the second one to bite the hook*

Okay I am going to add my 2 cents worth on the subject. The auto bail out is a bad idea. Like Nanci I am proud of Richard Shelby. Why should the taxpayers have to bail out these people when they make a heck lot more than most taxpayers make. The American auto makers need to look at the foreign auto makers and see how they have been a success and then try to follow their lead.
I am not glad that it failed. But after listening to that union person today he was a big pile of crap. They want the taypayers to bail them out but yet they do not want to give up any of those pricey benefits. And then he had the nerve to say that the workers would be getting a raise in a few months.
Alright I am off one of my current soap boxes.

Auto bailout...bad idea. Cars are way to expensive for what you get.
The failure..stuff happens. It is what it is.

Santa, well I am with Nanci. Santa is alive in our hearts. I love giving to others. I wish I had more to give. Since I don't I give what I can.

BTW Corny..I can't get nekkid with the R and R chicks..they don't luvs me. But it is okay..I luvs me.

A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.

I hate that so many will lose their jobs, but these car manufacturers are greedy.  Unfortunately, they have priced themselves into this.  I have a very good friend that lives in Rhode Island and may lose her job and her husband may lose his ,also due to this.  They work at a huge Chrysler auction.  I hate that so many may suffer.  That is the bad part.  I honestly think the higher-ups should take a huge pay cut and maybe that would help.  But of course they would never think of doing anything such as that.

Santa...oh yes.   My kids have never told me they don't believe because when they do, he stops coming to my house for them.

1) Bailout: bad idea to begin with, feel sorry for the employees and their families though

2) it is not fair to ask the taxpayers to bailout the greedy auto makers

3) I believe santa is real in the hearts and minds of children

We (the taxpayers) have been ask to bailout auto makers, banks and so on. My question is this:

WHEN ARE THE TAXPAYERS GOING TO GET A BAILOUT???? ALL WE SEEM TO BE ABLE TO GET IS RAILROADED!!
