Well, I made my decision and turned the thieves in to the main investor of our business.
Stuff hit the fan Sunday..all the managers were called in to a meeting.
Sunday night all the girls were asking what we should do about the thieving..( she did it again Sunday morning). I played "leader" and got everyone together to speak with our GM. He wasn't aare that Alabama is a work at will and employ at will state. He thought he had no grounds to fire her. Ah..but I enlightened him and told him theft is reason enough. The biggest thing, all of us were united in not wanting to work with her or her bf.
Anyhow...Monday morning both the thief and her man were terminated. I did the happy dance!! Right is right and fair is fair. So I am a much happier camper right now!!

I am glad to hear that you made the right decision to inform the owners of what was going on.  And even more so, I am glad that they took it seriously.  This person was dishonest and it was unfair for the rest of the workers to have to constantly overlook her behavior.  Kudos to you for coming forward.  Now you no longer have to deal with her.

Good for you!  It took courage to do what you did and when you stand up for your beliefs, it makes you feel validated and empowered. 

I'm sure the rest of the employees are happier too.  I am so proud of you!
