Hi Debbie,
It takes a couple of fills to feel that tight feeling. You are not going to fail!! If you have any questions or concerns..please call you Dr or NUT.  Wal-Mart has some no sugar added popsicles that are soda flavors. Some of my friends that had a soda addiction before surgery..says they help!!
HUGS,

First of all you are not a failure. You are just beginning and it takes time to learn.. just like riding a bike. Pick yourself up, dust off and begin again.
One of my good friends had lapband earlier this year and discovered something new after talking with her doctor. She was eating too many slider foods because they were quick, easy (she wouldn't have pain or vomit). And she was not eating REAL food. Slider foods made her hungry 2 hours later and she never felt full. So now she is changing her habits and sitting down to a Meal of REAL food instead of a quick slide.
I hope this information has helped you it sure enlightened us!

Hi Debbie!  I am sorry I have not written before now. It has been hectic and I have not had a chance to log on to OH or my personal email for that matter.

I understand how you feel.  I was banded in Aug. 07 and really did not feel restriction until my third fill.  That is perfectly normal.  Each person has a sweet spot that is just perfect for them.  It could be with one fill or five.  That band has plenty of room to accommodate whatever is necessary to your needs.

Failure? I think not!  The fact that you trusted your doctor to do the surgery and you had the surgery tells me you are not a failure, but you are courageous.

Losing weight is a journey.  Every journey starts with one step.  Let each day your travel toward your goal weight be a day of celebration and recovery from obesity.  Think to yourself, you will never be your pre-surgical weight every again.

Please feel free to PM if you have band questions.
Stay in touch and God Bless,
Nanci

you know i was really feeling down until i relized yesterday that it wasless than two months ago that i had the sugery. i've lost 23lbs since i  starte this journey. that's not too shabby. plus you are good for my ego it's taken a beaten and i have some people in my life who want me too fail. i've got to stop listening to them because i can't cut her out of my life because she's my boss. i just have to be stronger than her and not listento what she says.
