What I want for Christmas

I never thought of going to the florist, maybe Bamaflorist knows a gay man "in the business."  I have heard that Historical Societies, Symphony Guilds, and Art Guilds are also a great meeting place for the more sophicated gay men friends.  A couple of the ones that I work with suggested a local bar, but they also said that they never met anyone there...so that doesn't sound like a good place.

You know a few years ago they published a book called the "Big Gay Book."  I had a copy, but it was stolen from my office,as were three different copies of The Joy of ******  I am not sure what "hetrosexual" people need these books for, but I cannot keep them on my shelf in my office and they never come back home.

What am I doing with them?  I teach a course in Human Sexuality Counseling for master's level and post Master's level students working toward licensure.   The course is meant to educate the counselor to relationship issues surrounding sex between two adults, who may be different gender, same gender, or transgender.  The course is not sex therapy, but rather, how to help with general problems and when to refer to the experts.  It is a fun course to teach and my students seem to really enjoy the course.
