Karla,  I had a great time last night.  I hate I didn't get to keep my ornament, but SOMEONE was mean to me!

I love you my friend  Even if you did hold up the cross to me!

For every Goliath, there is a Stone! His name is Jesus!"

I sowwie, I so sowwie!!!  It's just that it was SOOOOOOOOO beautiful I could not help myself!  It was Michelle's fault!  She took my ornaments!!!  That's it!!!  Blame it on the "Luv" Lady!!!  (oh Michelle, I'm talkin' bout YOU!)

I'll see if I can find you a cross like Jackie got so you will be a happy Brother!

I'm not just using mine as a Christmas ornament...mine is going to placed all year long somewhere in my home.  Just not sure where yet???
I just LOVE BOTH of my ornaments.  I love handpainted ornaments & homemade ornaments just as much as I love Crosses!

I am glad to know that you all really did like the ornaments.  They are not easy to do.  I don't know about other people who do art work, but I am one of those *****ally doesn't want to force their stuff off on others.  I am very critical of my own work, and much less critical of others.  I enjoyr painting.  It helps me relax and keeps my blood pressure down.  But when you paint, you get a lot of stuff stacked up and you either have to sell it or give it away.  The problem is that people's taste is so different, you never know if people will think your stuff is junk or highly desirable.

When you give you own stuff as presents, you are just not sure if people will be insulted or really appreciate the gift.  It is really hard to place a value on your own work.  And of course, you always know where the flaws are in the product.

Flaws are important.  Navajo rug makers always purposely make a "mistake" in their rug weavings.  Lots of American Indians don't believe in trying for perfection, as we are only perfected in death. (American Indian is the politically correct term for those that have tribal numbers and identity.  Native Americans are the politically active claiming heritage, but not declared by treaty.   And you can really offend an American Indian by calling them a Native American....just thought you all would like that little bit of multicultural information).

No, Corn Nuggets,I didn't see you.  I wish you would introduce yourself.  We would like for you to be part of the group.

Karla,
I know exactly what you are saying!  I do counted cross stitch on linen.  Mostly on 32 to 40 count.  Very time consuming and tedious.  I love it though!  It helps me to relax!  My grandmother taught me this art when I was eight years old and I have carried it with me through the years.  I only like to share my stitches with those that I think will appreciate the stitchery.  I miss the days of when people exchange more handmade items.  These days everything is store bought!
