2 parades, one party and an elf hunt
and I am exhausted!!!
We have been up since 6:30 this morning. We walked in two parades, went to a birthday party for Santa Claus (yep, today is the Feast Day of St. Nicholas, patron saint of children, sailors, etc.), then we were off on an elf hunt.
The girls were given clues from Santa where the elf could be found. We started in Alabaster, ended up at the Riverchase Galleria, World Market, Ross', Bed, Bath, and Beyond and Walmart shopping center. Then it led us back to our area of town. Once we found the elf, he was hiding in a shopping center near our home, we brought him home. He had a warning with him. Apparently, he loves to be mischevious and get into things.
So, I am going to bed but there is no telling what our little elf will do during his first night at home.
He has three bells attached to him because he is so naughty that Santa thought he needed something to help us keep up with him.

ps- His name is Elroy. He is the grandson elf of Leroy, the elf I had as a child.

I went to a parade first thing this morning, and I got to see snow, then headed over for Jacob's Church play dress rehearsal, then over to Pensacola and back home to watch the game.
Then we watched a movie on Netflix and the bed broke! I told my hubby he needed to lose 20-30 lbs but would he listen to me??
Seriously he said the boys had been jumping on it.
And we just paid it off a few months ago. Now he is searching for something to fix it temporarily so we can sleep in it tonight and go to Lowe's after church tommorrow so he can fix it permanently. And I'm tired! So ready for bed.
Big day tommorrow too.. church in the am. 2 services because Jacob is singing 2 songs as a teaser to the musical for Sunday night. Then I come home to cook supper for 40 Youth and Christmas cookies as they are having a tree trimming party - then at 7pm is the play!
I might just reach my goal too!
