Gina (protein princess)

I got a phone call from Gina the middle of week telling me her house had caught on fire. Today she called me back and ask that I post and let you know that some had emailed her before the fire and that she now has sporadic internet service where they are staying. They will be displaced during the holiday season. What with the new grandbaby and the rest of family here from Germany it is going to be rough. She says she misses her coffee pot the most. Anybody have an extra coffee maker?
Also on another note, Gina husband Billy had a wreck last week and totalled one of the cars. A 16 yr old girl that had just gotten her license ran a stop sign and hit him in the side. Billy is still complaining with his chest hurting.
If having the wreck wasn't bad enough, then the house fire. Lets all remember Gina. She says she will be at our New Beginnings Christmas Party Friday night..

Just touching base with you all. I was able to pick up my dogs today. The insurance company decided to pay for them to stay at the motel with us. YAY!! That makes it feel more homey and of course they are so glad to be "home" with momma. As most of you probably know, pets are not covered by insurance so my adjuster is doing what he can to help us feel more at home for the holidays.

The boys are loving staying in the motel. They are too young to know why we are here so they think we are on vacation. However, Kaylee (5) and Karsyn (3) were with me during the fire. Kaylee is traumatized and doesnt want to be more than a few feet from me. She's afriad something bad is going to happen. I guess this is the worse part of the whole ordeal.

Billy said that he will probably go back to the doctor (urgent care) tomorrow because his chest is still hurting. - Sternum trauma, from the wreck. - He's been able to return to work but is still in pain when he moves a certain way.

We heard from the girl's insurance company and of course they arent going to pay squat for our totaled car... but we werent expecting much... at least it was paid off though so we can put that toward another car.

On another note, TJ returns to Iraq next week. (He's been home on R&R). It's been an unsual R&R since we have been limited by having only one car and then no house.. but we are all OK, warm, with a roof over our head.
