Sharing my news

As many of you know I am graduating with my BSW next Friday (12/12/08).   Also, I decided to take the advanced standings placement exam to go to graduate school and the GRE...OMGosh what difficult exams these turned out to be!  I have been  for weeks getting the testing done and then waiting on results.  I was notified this evening that I PASSED the advanced standings placement exam    So, if I UNDERSTAND this correctly this means I am soon to be a graduate student, and if all goes as planned I will graduate December 2009 with a masters degree.  I know I will be  and  during this masters program, but I know I can do this!

My goal is to work at the Biloxi VA and to be able to be considered for a position I have to have my masters degree.

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

Congrats on your accomplishments.  I know how hard this task is and also know how great the rewards can be once you have accomplished your goals.  Great job, I am sure you will do well with your masters....

Thank you for your sweet and kind words.  I have worked extremely hard to obtain my BSW and it hasn't been an easy road. OK I am off to bed....4am comes way too early!  Take care!

Thanks!  Yes, to me college has been very challenging.  Although it has taken me almost 7 years to complete I finally am at an end for one path.

Congratulations, Beth and hurry up with that masters.   We veterans need all the help we can get or at least this one does.  Think about north Alabama.  VA is going to open a "super" clinic in Huntsville with all types of services except inpatient.  They are thinking about leasing inpatient space from Huntsville Hospital.

Thank you for your kind words.  North Alabama?? Oh my...I am just now settling into South Mississippi    The VA here is going through a huge expansion and its going to so nice once completed.  Actually, they are preparing to open a "blind center" and will be the only VA with these services.  I was able to attend a workshop there back in November and feel this will be a good choice for my future.
