a brunette...and my hubby wants his blonde back.
I told my hairdresser to go a shade darker, and now I am officially brunette until my next appointment at least!
And...I am back to SHORT HAIR...like I am used to having and boy, does it feel good to have all that hair gone!!!!
My hubby said he's going to have to convince the men he works with that he & I didn't split...for they aren't going to recognize me!
Oh well...so much for going a SHADE darker!

Thank you!  I don't "feel" beautiful...especially now that I am brunette...
I am hoping it will lighten up with washes...

I have to walk early in the morning, before my brain figures out what I'm doing.

No matter what color your hair is, you are one of the most beautiful (inside & out) people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

I love being a blonde but right now it's kind of in between because I haven't had a color since last December.  I have been thinking about going short but it's kinda scarey...... short for me is shoulder-length.  I finally have the long hair I always wanted and now I don't know what to do.  It's a pain to wash & dry but easy to just pop up in a clip.  I'm just scared to go short again even though I know it'll always grow back.....  I'm hoping to get it colored before Christmas but not sure that will happen.  It is so expensive and I've tried the "do it yourself" route and was not a happy camper. Besides, Dylan getting a bicycle is more important... :)

I do want to see pictures!!!

Lovin you,

Dixie

After I get ready for church...I will TRY to get my lovely daughter to take pics and I will post!
She MAY have other PLANS for today.

Thank you for your kind words!

BTW...your long hair has ALWAYS look beautiful!
I can see how/why you wouldn't want to change a great thing!

For me, it is kind of a rebellion I can get away with.
My father would NEVER allow me to cut my hair as a child/teen.
He always thought women with long hair were beautiful, and he never saw a short haired woman that he thought was beautiful.
WHY does this matter to me now that I am GROWN and he has passed?  Because I was ingrained that I was not beautiful, so I struggle with insecurities even now that stem back to my childhood.

What matters?  That my husband loves me no matter what!  He PREFERS my short hair.  I need to get passed my insecurities.

I know about the rebellion and insecurity part.  When I was a little girl, my Mom always kept my hair cut short (Pixie cut) and I hated it!  That's the reason I want it long but I want a change.  It's kinda just there... no style or shape, just there.  Scott loves the long hair and cringes when I tell him I want to get it cut and Dylan likes it long too.  Of course long is all he's ever known.  Nothing makes me smile more than when I get ready for work in the mornings and Dylan says "Mommy, you're beautiful".  My Little Gift from God, My Angel....... I don't know what I would do w/o my Dylan Bug!

xoxo
