What was your........................................
Well, it's awful hard to pick. It's a toss up between the peanut butter and crackers I ate this morning or the peach yogurt I'm eating now. Both are delicious. Don't fret, just kidding. Somebody brought me lunch at work. I had turkey, dressing and all the trimmings. A nice day at work. I got a book and a half read. Love, Miss Mary
It was ALL good, but my absolute favorite, which just blew me away was Pumpkin Pie. Now why would that blow me away, you ask? Well, before surgery, I loathed pumpkin, I loathed sweet potatoes, I loathed anything even remotely resembling these things, but one day I was trying to eat healthy and I got ONE sweet potato and was going to just bake it and eat it plain just to get some good nutrition in and I baked it, ate it and loved it. Since I know one's tastes change after surgery, I ventured to try the sweet potato pie. My nephew's baby made it look so good, so I ate one bite...then another...then another....then, well you get my drift. Of all the things you could have told me I would ever eat without a gun to my head....pumpkin? But it was GOOD. The chicken and dressing, giblet gravy and cranberry sauce was awesome too, if I may say so myself.
Even with the sadness of a death in the family, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, mostly thanks to my nephew's baby who is one year old and man, that little girl is a hoot! She is the life of the party and was in rare form at Thanksgiving dinner.
And now I can relax a little bit. I have done 5 loads of dishes...so far...in the dishwasher. Thank goodness I didn't have to do all that by hand!
I have chicken leftover so am going to try to make some chicken stew and some chicken salad...if I can stop long enough to get it all done. For some reason, even though I can't get my own life straightened out, everyone seems to want me to straighten out theirs. LOL I don't know where I got that problem-solver reputation....Ms. Fix-it here.
Love,
Joni
