In 1968, I was in grammar school. Had it not been for John and all the others before him, with him and after him, I may never have grown up to live in a free country.
I have been the victim of abuse in so many situations in my life, but I have the freedom to call for help, rally for help, march in protest of others who are being victimized, and if I want to just get in my car and drive to Alaska, I have the freedom to do so.
I am most grateful for freedom and like they say, freedom isn't free. Thank you John for giving me that gift.
