I am alergic to real trees. It basically does no good to decorate a tree anyway. Our cat rearranges all the ornaments (at least those within paws reach...lol). Every monring I have to watch where I step (to keep from crushing ornaments). He turned it over one year...darn cat!

I love real trees, but I am also allergic to them.  I use to get sick each year right before Christmas.  Finally, my doctor figured out I am allergic to pine sap or something like that.  I sure miss that wonderful smell.  We have a pre-lit 7.5 foot something   It looks pretty good once we get all of our gaudy ornaments and the dolls and all around it.  My house is plum tacky at Christmas but I love it!!

We ALMOST got a fresh tree yesterday, but Tim talked me out of it.
I did put up snowflake lights in a small Christmas tree in our yard with a star at the top of the tree.  It's pretty!!!

I bet your house smells AWESOME!!!!!

Awesome John! I am going to try my best to get mine up and decorated over the weekend.  I usually do it the day after Thanksgiving but I have to go to work so I will have it done over the weekend.  I can't wait to get it out and start putting it up.  For the past 2 years Dylan has always helped me with the ornaments.... which means I always have a ton of ornaments around the 2-3 foot' mark and not many higher up but that makes it even more special for me!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving!!

That's what makes each Christmas tree special and unique!  I love different traditions about decoration.  I STILL have ornaments my oldest sister (now deceased) made and ornaments I made as a child.  I mix them right in there with the more expensive Radkos and all the rest.  I love to see "designer" trees with special themes, etc, but I also love the family tree filled with ornaments collected and made thru the years.

Have a great day!

Nope, not yet. I definately wait until the day after Christmas.  I decorate for every holiday so I want to enjoy my pilgrims, turkeys, pumpkins, and scarecrows as long as I can.  I admit I go all out and decorate the living room, kitchen, dining room, and hall bathroom.  The yard is another story and takes an entire day decorating.

I guess with small children, I try to savor every moment of each holiday.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Nanci

ps- My little one just finished reading the Biscuit series.  He is one of our favorite to read.
