Geez it's a busy day here on this end!

I just finished up the potato salad, stuffed 24 eggs, cooked 48 corn bread muffins and 2 cake style corn bread pans.  Plus I have washed 3 loads of clothes, cleaned the kitchen, my bathroom and will soon head out to dry laundry since our dryer died.  I'm already worn out from being sick but boy oh boy I sure could lay down for a nap with no problem...IF I HAD THE TIME.

We did all of our shopping for our Thanksgiving dinner this morning and now am just hanging out with my sister and her two kids up in Atlanta.  It's much cooler up here than down in Southern Alabama that's for sure.

Planning on getting an early start on my dressing.  Gonna make the cornbread today and put together the dressing and let it sit (in the fridge of course) over night.  That way the spices and seasoning really settle in.  Everything else will be cooked tomorrow.

Looking forward to my first Thanksgiving post-op.  I'm not worried though, I know my limits and know what I can and cannot have.  Since my sister also had WLS, there will be plenty of WLS friendly foods.

Glad to hear you are getting to spend time with family.  That is why I love the holidays so much...FAMILY and FOOD...LOL!  One of my brothers (he's not married) always comes home for the holidays so he is here from PC, Fla.  The other 5 boys are with their kids and grand kids!

I am sure you are going to do just fine with the eating.  You know your limits so enjoy.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving Sandi!

Im here at work hoping someone will say we can leave early.  I took my lunch hour and went to the Grocery store.  Im cooking on Saturday for my husbands family.  Im different this year.  Everybody is tired of ham and turkey.  So we are having Boston Butt, dressing, broccli and cheeese, mac and cheese, pecan pie, and sweet potatoe something.

My family isnt doing Thanksgiving this year and everyone has something else to do, but last year we had boston butt. My uncle Wayne makes the BEST boston butt on the earth. It was a nice change. we still had dressing and stuff, but just no ham and turkey. i get sick of that stuff!

My boston butt is already cooked.  I ordered it thru a fund raiser thru the school.  They are so good.  This man does a good job.  The place is called Mason's Butts out of Lowndesboro.  He does cattering and all that.  I cant wait.

Hi Susan.  I'm taking a small break from cleaning to say hey. I have 10 people joining us for Thanksgiving lunch tomorrow.  I plan on preparing the dishes tonight and then sticking them in the oven to cook in the morning.

I'm so excited. This is the first time I am hosting my family.  I even got out the china from the case and washed it.

Have a wonderful day.
