geneses support group in Tuscaloosa

Hi, is there anyone out there that has attended the Genesis support group at the hospital there in Tuscaloosa, if so, when and what time do they meet, and how often?  Thank you..Farmgirl58

It is the 3rd Thursday of each month but looks like one will be tonight at 6pm, probably because of Thanksgiving. It is on the DCH Regional Medical Center's  website.  They are held in the Florida/Mississippi Room,  on the 3rd Floor. If you go in through the "new side" of DCH parking lot, go through the connecting walkway, you cant miss it, it will be the first room to the left as you come through the walkway.

Thank you for responding to my inquiry...do many bariatric patients attend this meeting and what are the meetings like?  I have not had surgery yet, but hopefully by the first of the year will be able to have the Realize lapband......would like to find a good support group that can answer all my questions and feel accepted into the group..I will  travel an hour and half to the meeting, but once a month is not bad. 
I am going to have my surgery down in Mobile, but it is too far to travel for a support group as I get off from work at 4:15 and it would be over a two hour drive to attend in Mobile.  I thought Meridian had a group, supposidly they did, but due to the lack of participation, they disbanded.  I know there are folks out there who could really use a support group to get them back on track.  I hope that maybe by the first of Jan. I will be able to start attending the meeting in Tuscaloosa.
