I have been thinking about my Goal and how close I am (25 more lbs!). My doctor had a goal for me and I met and surpassed his goal. Now I am working towards those last 25lbs that I want to lose. And it's time to WORK for it and stay serious!
So I'm going to be posting!!
Who wants to join me??
I want to lose this by the end of January. I think it's doable! If I stay FOCUSED!! And get support.

You bring up a great point. I need to set up a new goal for myself. As silly as it sounds, my initial goal was to get off diabetic medication. I hit that goal about six months after surgery. It seems like every pound lost since then has been icing on a delicious, sugar free cake!
I had also set another goal of being able to run. At first it was a goal of running around the block. Then my sweet husband got me a pair of Nike shoes and Nike Ipod set and that block turned into a mile, then two miles, three miles, and now I trying to get my 5K under 32 minutes. So that is currently my goal. I also hope to run during the Mercedes Marathon weekend. Syd, our 7yo, is running in the Kids portion.
In the past, every time I tried to set a pound goal, I failed!

But I would love a new goal. I had decided about a week ago to do 15lbs by December 15th. But then I realized that was a little too extreme considering I want to maintain my slow, steady process.
So, what do you think, Julie? I would love to have a "goal buddy" and I cannot think of anyone more positive and supportive than you!

I love your goals!! Wow, what a great way to set goals. Being able to run 5k in less than 32 minutes is a great healthy goal!! That is also such a great smart way to set goals as well.
Not just thinking about the pounds behind it but the healthy lifestyle!! Thanks for putting that into a new perspective for me!
My goal is to build up muscle. Yeah my husband looks Good and has those muscles oh the kind I will NEVER have but I would like to have "something" to flex!!

I worked out today-- 30 minutes on the treadmill listening to Def Leppard! lol
And then I did 15 minutes of 3 of the weight machines (5 minutes on each).
I am starting off slow. 3 times a week Teddy will work out weights with me so I will have that.
And every time I get bored and stressed I'm going to be out walking my dogs or out walking period with my IPOD. Boy, I'm thinking of all the walking I will be doing.. I get bored alot.
I want a new pair of Nike's for Christmas.. I might need a new pair BEFORE then if I keep the walking and running up!! lol
I got back on fit day.. Put up my journal. Put in my goal weight added my foods for today, my mood, my log. It kept me on track before so I just logged right back into my old account.
Helps me see where I get off track and how many calories I am getting vs how many I am burning.
Sandi and Kristi are working out together. I know they aren't at goal yet so maybe they will join.
Hope others follow suit.. and we SUPPORT each other to get to whatever Goal you have for yourself!!
So Goal Buddy!! Let's get Goals in place and get busy!! It's already begun.. and tommorrow we stay on track..Now remember if we fall down we just pick ourselves back up and start again!
15lbs is a great goal and if you work hard who knows you might be there by Christmas!!
I might beat my own goal too! I'm dedicated!

I have 38 lbs to go before I reach goal, but then I am only 9 months out. I FINALLY started working out with a friend (KristiQ3) about two weeks ago and made plans to work out while I am in Atlanta over Thanksgiving. My weight loss has really slowed down and I needed to do something to kick up the metabolism. I don't know if I will make goal by my one year anniversary, but I will certainly make some progress. I just wish I had a magic ball that would tell me what size clothes to buy for my cruise in February. I am in a size 12 now, but hopefuily will be wearing a size 10 by then (but you can NEVER count on anything, so...).
Good luck everyone who's working towards their goal! We'll get there one lb at a time.

I'm working out too!! Yep, by myself (except 3 times a week Teddy will join me for weights!)
I did so great today!! Even a 45 minute afternoon walk.. I got bored.. beats snacking!! lol
Enjoy your time at your sisters and stay on track. Call me!! I sure will miss you.
Heather looks amazing. And Gosh, Did I ever miss her. I will see her again on Dec 11th. She will be home 3 weeks. She gets a fill tommorrow with Dr. Weinstein.

So funny you should post this. I've been doing some serious thinking the past 2-3 weeks about my personal goal. I have only 25 more lbs to go but for the last year I've been at a standstill. I even gained a little but have lost that back. I blame it on soooo many wonderful changes within the past year... such as meeting my soul mate and getting married and all the wonderful new adjustments that come with that. Now that I'm 13 months into the marriage it's time to stop making excuses and get serious! I want to get to my personal goal before I have plastic surgery on my tummy. I think this is a wonderful time to start! I will be thinking of a time frame for getting the rest of the weight off. One that I know will be challenging but also attainable. Then, I'll post it and keep you updated on my progress. I know exactly what to do, I just gotta DO IT! :)

I am so proud to read that I am not the only one that has been at a stand still. I have been for about a year now. I have not gained, I have maintained but I am not losing. I have 25 to go to be at my personal goal. I know ticker says 20 but I really want to get off 25 more. When I reach goal, I will be less than half the woman I use to be...lol. I too want plastics (new boobs) and I do not want to have anything done until I reach my goal. I want to be a buddy too!!!!
