cooking your turkey for Thanksgiving? I cheated and ordered mine from a local grocery that cooks them in the rotisseri. Always moist and yummy. How are you cooking (or not cooking..teehee) your bird??

Good morning my friend.  Lucy is cooking the bird this year.  Our 1st Thanksgiving together.  I'm excited to eat some of it as she does her differently than we do here in the south.  She is "stuffing" it with stuffing loaded with raisins, cranberrys, and apples.  I KNOW it is going to be good.  Different, but good!

I can't blame you for ordering your's.  It's hard work.  Only thing I would miss is the smell in the house..............YUMO!

Have a great Monday!

Our table has gone from about 20 down to 3 -possibly 4   A friend of ours from the Randolph County Sheriff Dept may eat with us as his family will be gone for the holidays.   My brother is deep frying a turkey.  It is always moist and juicy.  I can't eat but a bite or 2 of meat so they can cook it any way they please

I will have mine brining tonight. I have brined my turkeys for years. I am going to attempt to cook it in the roaster I bought last year.

We inject our turkeys with all kinds of creole seasoning and then we are smoking them - one for us and one for a co-worker.  My daughter Emma doesn't like turkey, so she and Claire are going to ready the ham glaze and we will smoke the ham as well.
