Thankful for the recent strife on our Board

I am thankful for all the recent strife on the Alabama Board.  Why?  Because two years ago I would have responded to this frustration by lashing back with hot, angry words.  My anger would have led me to the nearest Krispy Kreme where I would have eaten a couple dozen doughnuts and then run to the nearest fast food restaurant to bet the biggest burger and largest fry they could make.  Perhaps two.  Eaten along with a super size Diet Coke.  (One mus****ch calories!)

I am thankful because I see that I have grown - both as a person and as a WLS patient.  I did not lash back at the people trying to hurt me and my friends.  I did not go on an emotional binge feast. 

I think that being on a Christian journey is much like being on the WLS journey.  I am not perfect.    Neither journey is an easy one.  But I have been given tools to help me become a better, happier , more fulfilled person. 

That makes me very Thankful.

John that shows you are growing up(age has nothing to do with being a grown up) I am proud of you for your behavior. There are so many on the board who have managed to stand down and not say what they were really feeling and I've been proud of each and every one of them.  I've also been proud of the ones who have spoke out against the bullying. There are so many wonderful people on the board and I'm  happy to know them Love Miss Mary

you are so welcome.  i had you in mind when i when to poop digging and throwing.  not really.
i got no problem with you. your saving grace is your cute dog. i forever will be honorable to you, well at least until you start throwing holy water then i grab the dog and we run for cover.

ps, my experience is can still eat donuts just put a bunch of pillows on the floor to cushion the drop.
