My sister is only 11 months older than me....since we were so close in age we were practically raised as twins.  We are very close.

We will have soooo much food leftover.  We will probably have to invite friends over for leftovers.  LOL

Were doing Thanksgiving with Jerrys family on Thanksgiving day, we will have the basics I assume. Were taking shrimp. Im cooking over next weekend. Im baking a small ham, home made SF cranberry sauce, dressing, cheesey mashed potatos, dressing, and green beans. It should be enough for him to have left overs for a while!

One jar Smucker’s Sugar Free Preserves, any flavor – my favorite flavors to use are Orange Marmelade, Blackberry, Raspberry, or Cherry
One 12-ounce bag whole fresh Cranberries
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup Splenda Granular

Empty the preserves into a heavy saucepan and cook over medium low heat for 3 to 4 minutes until the preserves soften and melt. Add the cranberries and cinnamon; stirring constantly while mixture comes to a boil over medium high heat, cooking until berries begin to pop. Reduce temperature to low and simmer 15 to 20 minutes until sauce is glossy and thick – crushing the berries against the side of the pot with your wooden spoon. Stir in the Splenda and cook 5 more minutes before removing from heat to cool.
Transfer cooled mixture to a covered bowl and chill until ready to serve.

Makes approimately 2 cups

We are having crock pot chicken and dressing, roasted turkey, baked ham, brussell sprouts, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, green bean bundles, baked beans, okra, turnip greens, sweet potato casserole, lime salad,  cornbread salad, rolls, cornbread, caramel cake, and a crystal light pie.  I am sooooo excited about the roasted turkey and brussell sprouts (that is what I plan to eat along with a deviled egg)! My two fave foods together in one meal.....lol! I only get roasted turkey and Thanksgiving and Christmas because my hubby doesn't eat it, our son will eat a little of it but doesn't do left overs very well. So, itis a waste unless there iwll be lots of folks available to share my turkey with.

Hi Phyllis,

That sounds o so good. Lots of food to eat.Hope there will be a lot of people to eat all that wonderful food!! I always have turkey for Thanksgiving and honey baked ham for CHRISTmas. I love the turkey and ham so much that WHEN I do visit my family I make sure I take some left overs home.I don't like for any food to go to waste because so many out there are starving. That is probably why I am so heavyset...LOL. Hope you have a Blessed Thanksgiving!!!

There will be lots of folks to eat (and all are picky eaters, that is why we have such an assortment of food). Some will not eat ham, some will not eat turkey and others will not eat dressing (but what is Thanksgiving with out dressing). I am sooo excited. Everyone is coming to our house. This is the first time in years that everyone is coming to our house. I love to cook for people!! So much to do!! Going to get started after church. Checking the cabinets, fridge & freezer to make sure I have all ingredients for the dishes I am preparing (I am making everything except baked beans. caramel cake & cornbread salad). Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
