Why is it that some people who post on this board for so called "support" have been doing so for YEARS but still have not had surgery and have no intentions of doing so and they aren't losing weight either?  Do they come here just to create bull#^*! for those of us who are trying to get support?  Am I missing something here?  Maybe I am.  Why can't this person be blocked by us so they can't destroy our board?  I have all but quit coming because of the negative posts made by her.  Can't something be done?

You are not alone. I know who you are speaking of..and she has caused several members to all but leave. She pretends to be a good christian..but if all christian are like her I want no part.
I keep coming back because there are many I love here. Just BLOCK. But she wil log out to read whay you say ..

To some extent this board mirrors other areas of your life.  There are people whom you like and others whom you don't.  Then there are those that tend to get under your skin, usually relatives. lol   I advise you to do as I do and ignore posts from people who bother me.  They may from time to time post something productive but for the most part they don't so I feel I haven't missed anything coming from them. 

Treat the board somewhat like a newspaper.  I don't read all the articles in the newspaper.  I only read those that the headline makes me think it might be interesting.

You ARE aware that when we discuss people who are troublemakers, it makes them even more intent on their destructive behavior.

I don't know other people's reasons for coming to this board for years before having surgery, but I can only speak for myself.  It took me four years to get approval from my insurance (self pay was NOT an option).  I still needed guidance and support while I was battling insurance and fulfilling their requirements.  Naturally, I was on the insurance help boards as well, but I saw no reason not to post on the Bama board if I had a question.  What I am saying is maybe there is a reason...maybe there's not.  I can only speak for myself.  Try to keep an open mind and not assume things.  Maybe there's a reason they haven't had surgery yet.  Perhaps they are working on it and have obstacles to overcome, as I did.
