TGIF .... INDEED!!!!

Sippin' on some good ol' strong cup of coffee with lots of cream on this fine Friday morning that the Lord has given us.

My Mama DID NOT look kindly on lies.  They were one of her pet peeves.  "I'd rather you slap me in the face than to lie to me!" was what she told us all the time.  Even though she is in Heaven, I can here her voice saying that to this day.  I have passed that quote down to my children and now to my grandchildren.  Wise words from a wise and wonderful Christian Mama!!!

Randall,

I read your post early this morning and started to respond, but decided to wait.  I have thought about this several times over the course of the day and want to thank you for what you have said.

People who truly know me, know that HONESTY is a key trait I look for in those I choose to involve myself with and something that I require of myself and that others know they will find in me.  If I can not speak honestly with you.  I will not speak.

Only a few people know of a recent situation involving someone from this board that had chosen to try do something deceitful in an effort to hurt me.  THEY FAILED.  What happened was that they got caught at their own game.  I have not chosen to publicly call this person out. What I have realized is that this individual has to live with the fact that they got caught in their own game and they must live each day now with that knowledge. This person has lied and must live with that lie daily.  Can you imagine the embarassment they must feel knowing they had set out to intentionally hurt someone with no just cause and then they got caught?  Can you imagine the embarassment that they will feel should their spouse or children find out of the games they play? Can you imagine the embarassment they would feel if the were publicly outed for their actions?  There is a legal issue at hand.  Charges could be brought against the individual and there is documented evidence of the incident which occured. This person must live daily with that knowledge.  I think that knowing that this person has to live daily with the knowledge of their actions is punishment for them.  They created their own punishment. This person acted thinking they were doing so under a veil of secrecy and that veil was very quickly shattered and their identity revealed. This is the miserable existence that is created by living a lie.

INTEGRITY is a trait that I look for in others and I am proud of my INTEGRITY. I can say that even though sometimes it would be easier to tell a lie, I will always tell the truth. Goodness knows, I have enough trouble remembering the real world, much less trying to remember a made up or false one.....

I think if people will remember this, then the rest will all fall into place.......

INTEGRITY IS DOING THE RIGHT THING, EVEN WHEN NO ONE ELSE IS LOOKING!
