Just finished up......
Shopping for Thanksgiving dinner that is to be at our house this Sunday. I got stuff to make homemade sweet tater casserole, green bean casserole, sweet peas, mac and cheese, white creamed corn, rolls, stuff for a sf 4 layer dessert and a pecan pie. I'm also making deviled eggs, and pear salad and I got cranberry sauce. I had a turkey in my Daddy's freezer from Easter that Kyle got at work that I'm cooking and I'm going to make dressing. Do you think that will be enough? Any other suggestions? There will be around 16 of us. I'm making splenda tea to drink. I'm doing ALL the cooking myself. I've asked Holly to come and help and she probably will come over Saturday.
Sounds good to me Elle. Can' t think of anything else, sounds like you have it covered. I am cooking Thursday. I usually have Christmas Dinner which I still will, but my Aunt always had Thanksgiving at her house but she passed away in May. We all sure miss her around here. The holidays will be a little tough this year but we will get through and remember all our beautiful memories of her. Hope you and your family have a wonderful day.

We always had Thanksgiving at my Mama and Daddy's house, but Mama's been gone over six years now and it's still a painful time for me. Being an only child is the pits. Makes it really hard on me. I have aunts and uncles and cousins, but no one that I'm close to. I always try very hard to make holidays extra special for my family and my Daddy. This year we are including my son in law's family in our Thanksgiving dinner at our house. Holly and Beau will be out of town Thanksgiving.
