- 3 cans sweet potatoes or canned yams
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 jar maraschino cherries, drained
- 1 package chopped walnuts
- 1 lb butter, cut up
- 1 bag minature marshmallows
Butter a deep baking dish; add one can of drained sweet potatoes and sprinkle with part of the cherries, walnuts, brown sugar and butter. (Do not add marshmallows yet.) Continue layering with remaining ingredients. Cover with foil and bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Remove the foil; top with miniature marshmallows and bake a few minutes until they are lightly browned.
