God's motives in giving us anything is unconditional love. He gives us life and our material needs. He also gives us challenges, opportunities, and work to do. He puts us into a family and gives us people to love and people to love us. He has redeemed us from evil and calls us His own. He also gives us free will to choose to follow and serve Him or not to. Everything good comes from God.
