Oh Carmen I am so sorry that you will not be doing the secret pal again. At first I was not going to sign up again because of alot of personal issues. But then when you said you would be doing it again I changed my mind. I guess I will not be participating again. It was fun, this was my first time and I have been nothing but pleased all around.

Let me just say thank you to all of you for the kind words.  I am not a saint and I too make some silly and stupid mistakes.  But John even wants me to quit.  He has seen me sit for hours and try to figure out how to make this work better.    You know, I love this board and the people on it so much, but there are some who hurt others and that breaks my heart.  I love honesty, but hurt is much different.    There are even some who enjoy chaos.  I am seriously not one of those.   Again, thank each and every one of you who have responded and been so kind.  I love you all and I hope you know that.

I am sorry to hear that you won't be heading up the next round of secret pal, but I don't blame you under these cir****tance.  I have enjoyed participating and believe that you handled it fairly and with integrity.  Some people just like to complain.  I wish I could do it, but with working fullt-time and going to school full-time at night, I don't think I would be able to keep up. 

I just hate to see the whole SP program dropped because of some knucklehead.

My goodness!!!  All of this over a way to ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER. 

If people are expecting to GET a lot out of a Secret Pal exchange, then they are missing the point.  The POINT:  YOU encourage the one assigned.  If the one assigned to you drops the ball, then just PRAY FOR THEM!!! Maybe something is going on with them that is preventing them from participating fully.  If you sign up for a Secret Pal program to GET things, then your heart is in the wrong place.

Having said that, how do I join the next round of Secret Pals?

I am sorry some folks are so childish. I do agree if you sign up to get "stuff" your heart is in the wrong place.
As someone else said..I would love to spoil my pal more, but I can only do what I can do. I always smile when I see that the package was recieved!!

If the PMs you are receiving are ANNONOMOUS...that means that they are probably JEALOUS of the praise and exposure you are receiving.  If they REALLY had a problem, they would have reported it to the OH board administration.  So...just ignor them.  If they can't sign the PMs, they aren't worth the worry.

I am SO sorry that you will not be doing this.  It just breaks my heart, cause you've poured so much of yourself into this project only to get hurt over and over again for a superbly well done job.  I don't undestand why people have to be so mean.
