Secret Pal...
T'was the month before Christmas
and all through my house
not a creature was stirring, well...
except for my spouse!
I came in from a long day at work,
couldn't wait to get out of my shoes,
but oh what a perk...
the mailman had left some very good news.
My wonderful secret pal was at it again,
sending goodies to make me feel great,
There was something on which to take notes with a pen,
an angel to guide me while I wait.
Santa will be here before I know it,
There was peppermint tea to sip while I wait and sit.
There was green Yoga tea to improve my health,
and cookie cutters, my grandsons will reap the wealth.
An added surprise
for my ears, not my eyes.
What can I say, nothing will sit on the shelf,
I can't wait to find out who you are...and your elves & elfs!!
I'm not a poet,
and now you and all know it.
I had to try to respond and test,
if my skills are as good as yours, but you're the BEST!!!
I do love it all, but most of all I love you for always being so creative and so sweet to me. I seem to always receive a package from you on some of my worst days...and today was a bad one! A rose
for you from your Teal Rose! I feel blessed to have you as secret pal...can hardly wait to find out who you are, but will be sad when it's over. I have enjoyed the anticipation of opening your packages to see how creative you are each time!
