DIED!
Sorry to hear about your laptop dying on you. I am using an old dinosaur of a laptop myself for school. It works just fine but it's HUGE and HEAVY. I have been on the prowl for a new one for a couple of months now. Look for some good sales on laptops the day after Thanksgiving. I know Best Buy is going to have a great sale on laptops, but you better plan on camping out. The sale starts at 5am, but a co-worker went last year and got there at 3am and had 100-150 ppl ahead of him. There will also be some online sales. PM me if you want the urls I will be using to shop for a laptop on Black Friday.

I would love to have the URLs. Brandy wants to buy a laptop and I would like to get the boys one to share for Christmas..any idea what kind of sale? Should I spend the night in line??

I posted earlier, and deleted the message to avoid confusion. I accidentally posted under my "CLONED" account that I had from a couple of months back when I was unable to access this account for a few days.
Not sure if you got the message or not, but what it said is that if you have access to the Black Friday ad for Best Buy, you can go there the day before and purchase the laptop that you want from their ad. Pay the higher price for it and then at your convenience the next day--return it and repurchase at the sale price.
I did this with a Labor Day sale two years ago and ended up saving about $100.00. AND--did not have to stand out in the line in forever! The salesclerks are instructed to tell you that they don't have the ad and don't know what will be on sale, but they do have them. One of the very nice clerks saw me buying the one I wanted and told me it would be on sale the next day. She just told me to be sure that I did not open the box--and then I could return it the next day at my convenience.
I ended up getting my Compaq laptop for $349 or $369....don't remember the exact amount, but it was very reasonable.
Good Luck!
