Next Secret Pal Round
If you are interested in the next secret pal round, these are the rules.. Please read them and decide if you want to participale. I will be taking names after December 15 and sending you the questionnaire. Thanks so much!!!!
PLEASE DO NOT BEGIN SENDING ME ANYTHING UNTIL AFTER DECEMBER 15.
This next round will begin in February, 2009, with the first gift due to be mailed on or before February 15, 2009. YOU MUST HAVE YOU NAMES TO ME ON OR BEFORE JANUARY 20, 2009. I am not going to continue to add names this time unless it becomes necessary.
THE RULES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1. If you sign up for this, you must comply. If you cannot comply with ALL rules, you must let Carmen know and if things cannot be rectified, you will be replaced. It is not fair to the ones who participate and follow the rules to not have the same consideration as they give. IF YOU THINK YOU CANNOT FOR ANY REASON CONTINUE TO COMPLY, PLEASE DO NOT JOIN. I would love for everyone to join, but please, if you are only joining to receive a gift, don't. I know this sounds harsh, but feelings were hurt this past round.
2. The minimum amount to spend is $10.00 not including shipping or postage. The maximum amount is $20.00. If you wish to go above that, you may, but do not expect your gift to be over $10.00.
3. This round of secret pal will run from February, 2009 through July, 2009 with the reveal being on July 15, 2009.
4. The names will be draw using Elfster.com. I WILL HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROL OVER WHOSE NAME YOU RECEIVE NOR *****CEIVES YOUR NAME. It is up to the computer.
5. Please do not complain about whose name you receive. Once it is drawn, I will not change any of the names. Also, DO NOT ASK WHO YOUR PAL IS BECAUSE I WILL NOT TELL YOU.
6. If you find that you need extra information regarding your pal, their family, etc., please contact me and I will do my best to get you the information you need.
7. I will not make it manditory, but for just a few cents, you can get a confirmation when your package is delivered. There were several instances this time where people said they sent packages, but the receiver never received them. If you have it confirmed, you will know whether or not the gift is received.
8. For a return address, you may want to use your pal's address. For instance, if I were sending a package to Jim Smith at 100 Center Road Birmngham, Alabama, I might put: Jim's Secret Pal, 100 Center Road, Birmingham, Alabama.
9. You can also set up an alias email and OH name to talk to your pal online without them knowing who you are. However, be sure not to include your real name on anything you fill out. This sometimes shows up.
10. If you do not receive a gift, please do not post on the board until you contact me and I check to see if something is wrong. Often people become sick or relatives have situations and they could be late. Hopefully, in this event, the pal would understand the situation.
11. UPON RECEIVING YOUR GIFT EACH MONTH, PLEASE POST ON THE ALABAMA BOARD AND LET YOUR PAL KNOW YOU GOT YOUR GIFT.
12. If you are unable to continue with the program, please let me know. Please do not just stop sending and not answering my emails. I know things happen that are out of our control. I will, at that point, find someone to take over your secret pal.
13. If your information changes, please let me know so I can let your pal know.
14. THE NUMBER ONE RULE IS TO JUST HAVE FUN!!!! Have fun giving and getting.
