please think more good thoughts for us

i went to the doctor today (two days before my job ends) and i have bronchitis, possibly pneumonia. because of the financial mess that katie left me in i am unable to have my gas turned on due to the fact that WE owe florence utilities nearly $800. so, i'm trying to make do with a tiny little space heater and just layering clothes while i'm at home and using 6-7 comforters on my daughters bed. (and we've been sleeping in the same bed to try and warm each other up.) just please think good thoughts for us that i can heal and that she doesn't get sick at all. she has asthma and has a tendancy towards those sorts of illnesses as well and has JUST recovered from a severe ear infection. i will be able to pay florence utilities off and have my gas turned on when i get my severence check but that won't be until the end of next week so please please PLEASE think good thoughts for us until then.

So sorry that you are having it rough right now.
Can you call the utilities and explain to them,  when you will be able to pay, and about yourdaughter having asthma. They might go ahead and turn on the gas early for you.

originally i thought i was getting my severance check at the end of THIS week and so i made a deal with them that if they wouldn't shut my utilities off then i'd pay it off completely by the 14th. so now i'm not only looking at not having gas but i will potentially not have utilities AT ALL after friday. i'm going to go talk to them again and see what i can work out but i can't do that until thursday when i'm officially "unemployed".

So sorry you are sick and going through this rough time. My thoughts and prayers are with YOU and your daughter.

Have you tried a church and explained to them whats going on? If they help you with your utilities then you can save that money for something else or maybe a rainy day. I am so sorry your family is having such a tough time.

We have several churches in the neighborhood that help people out when they are in need.   Pay bills and have a food closet.  I hope yall get some relief.

Prayers are being said!  I know that you and Kensie are going to be ok!  As we too only have 1 heater, and it has to try to keep the 4 of us warm.  Tino and I do the multi blanket coverage and leave the boys to stay warm byt he heater.  Their bedroom stays pretty warm but they also use 2 blankets and Ant's sleeping bag!  The 2 of you are going to be ok, I can feel it in my heart!
By the way, I love the pic.  Its nice to see a face with the posts!  It has been too long since we got to see who we are talking too..LOL!
