I know....
I always seem to come here with bad news, so I just thought I would share some good!
Mike comes home in 16 days! The main body left yesterday & should be home pretty soon. I cannot believe these 15 months are FINALLY almost over!
I have heard from Braden several times, he says Basic is hard, but he is really enjoying it. I asked if he needed anything, he said "Send Icy Hot!" lol. He highly suggested not sending cookies! One Soldiers wife sent him a tin of cookies, his 1st SGT went to him & advised him to tell his wife not to send junk "cause it would make his 1st SGT fat"!! lol
My daughter, who left here almost 2 years ago, in a fit of anger, is coming home. She has had some trials & tribulations, but she finally realized she needs to get her life straight. We are sending her a bus ticket & going to have to take care of a few things, but she is wanting to join the Army also. If that cannot happen, we want to try & send her to Culinary School (if we can swing it!!)
Chesney has had his last surgeries, he had his tail amputated & was neutered Friday. I learned something new...he is brindle & when they shaved his lil bo-bo, I found out the brindle is on the skin, not just his coat! Really cool! hahaha! He had the throat & nose surgery, 2 weeks later he had a horrid & extremely painful staff infection on his back leg, now this, poor guy is NOT a happy camper!
I am feeling better & have actually gained a little weight. I still have issues from the hole in my diaphram, but have been putting off going to the Dr. I know I need to go, but dang.....I am tired f all the testing! lol
I want to say....I am proud of the Bama board for taking the higher road lately. We had a few bumps in the road, but for the most part, we stuck together & showed "the world" how classy we can be! Kudos to us!

Thank you Julie, I can't believe we are at the end, thought it would never get here!
We already have Chesney & Libby's Christmas costumes picked out. He is gonna be Santa & she will be his elf! lol! He is already trying to run & carry on, so he will be back to his goofy self in no time! Libby weighs 10lbs, he weighs 75 & she forces him to play tug-o-war. It is quite the comedy show! Never a dull moment round here!
It's very easy to get caught up in the nasty things others say & do, mob mentality, if you will. I worked for over 16 years in the prison/jail system, so I have learned to let things just roll off my back....for the most part! There are times I want to tell someone off who has been or acted stupid & there are sometimes I still lose it & act ugly. We just have to stop & remember, anytime we retaliate, we are no better than the aggressor!
Ok, I am outta here for a bi****chin Ruby. I just wanna hug her!

Hello Bonnie, Just wanted to say hello and glad your husband is coming home, I get to get mine back after 15 months in January so I know you are elated. The Army has been good to us except the continuous deployments.
We have done this for 23 years so I guess another 7 wont kill us.
I am so glad you family is falling back into place it make the homecoming much more pleasant.
I wish you luck with your medical issues and hope they will be better soon.
And the higher road is right the Tennessee board is the other target of the harassers, they too have taken the high road I am so very proud of both Bama and Tennessee boards.
I know we don't know each other but as fellow Army Wife's I support you!

The Army has been pretty good to us too. Mike has been in over 22 yrs, his retirement papaers are already in. This is my 1st deployment & I do not like it! lol
Going for 30, wow! I wish ya'll all the luck in the world! Mike would probably do 30+, had he not met me.
Sometimes the high road is the only way to travel, I just thank God I have anough of a life & self esteem that I do not enjoy acting so childish or ignorant. Not saying I never have though!!! hahaha!
