Frustrated

I am so frustrated with the process of trying to have Gastric Bypass.  I received my approval letter from BCBSAL with my surgery date on the letter, but everytime I call the surgeons office to speak with the appointment scheduler  she is always away from her desk or on the other line, I leave a message and she never return my calls.  What should I do?  Someone please help.

Don't give up! Keep calling and if that don't work call the office manager, go see them in person. I'm still convinced that the pre-surgey psych evaluation has more to do with what you go through BEFORE the surgery!   

I see you are using Dr. Stahl at Cahaba Valley Surgical.  Dr. Stahl was my surgeon and I had great support from him and the office staff.  I can;t understand why you are having difficulty.  Have you tried email?  I often emailed and they followed through with a phone call.  Try calling first thing in the morning.  Be persistent and don't give up - it's worth it!!!

It was the last time I visited the website.  Haven't been there in a while....   Hang in there. Stahl is great!!!

How long has it been since you received your letter?  A couple of days or weeks?  I used Dr. Stahl and never had any problems getting in touch with them.  Keep trying.  I'm sure you'll reach them soon.

I received the letter a couple of days ago, I know that is not a long time, but I have been calling the office before I received the letter and know one will call me back.  Well I did receive one call about two weeks ago, only because I call BCBSAL and they called the surgeon's office.  I think that kind of made them mad, so the scheduler called from the doctors office to give me an update.

I feel better today, I am  just going to try and be patient.  I will stop by the office on Tuesday when I go for the seminar and hopefully this will be successful.

Can you go to the office??  I don't know your doctor or where he is.  I know you are frustrated.  I hope you hear from them soon.

I live in Montgomery and the doctor's office is in Alabaster.  I am supose to attend a seminar there on Tuesday evening so I plan on going early to stop by the office.  Hopefully the visit will be successful.
