Bruising?
Louise helped me when i had to take iron infusions. I guess i got lucky, mine werent bad at all. The first round which were a month long, were 3 hours each week. The only BAD problem is finding a vein as i have really horrible ones. They always stuck me in my hand or arm, like a normal iv. The last round i took back in August took only 90 minutes, and i breezed thru those.
Good Luck. Let us know what the doc says!
Christy, this sounds like something not WLS related and you live quite a distance from Anniston. I suggest you see your PCP as soon as possible for the lab work mentioned by Louise or whatever the doctor requests. January is a long time to wait for something that could have potential negative effect on you. If work is a problem then go to a walk-in.

Please get in and be checked!!
I just found out this year I have hypercoagulation. And I am 36! So you never know!
This is not good and can cause clots to hit and cause death.
So PLEASE get in and be checked!! January is too far away and I know Dr. Freeman's office is not close so call your PCP.
I am praying for you!

Let me see if I can put this like my doctor put it....we have less fat so it doesn't take as long for the bruise to show up. Something like that by the time the blood was able to make it to the skin for us to see the bruise when we were heavy, the bruise was mostly absorbed. Now we don't have as much fat and the bruises show up worse. Also I'm very fair skinned and he said that also contributed. If I had a tan (which is impossible) the bruises wouldn't be so obvious. I was scared too, and he told me not to worry about it. But he did do blood work to make sure everything was ok.
