*sigh* I'm glad you appear to be comprehending what's wrong with this approach.
These boards are open to *all*, and I think it's a darned shame that you think you have a right to designate an open to the public board that is named as a STATE board to be a "Christians only" place.
Perhaps you need to go somewhere for a while where you are genuinely not only unwelcome because of your beliefs, but where you experience some consequences for them.
I think I'm a little older than you are, though I could be wrong. I lived in Germany in the 1980's, which was the last decade of the Soviet era. I originally went to Germany as a missionary volunteer. For my first two years there, I worked for a missionary couple whose primary focus was children's evangelism and discipleship in Eastern Europe.
Perhaps some of you have heard of Brother Andrew, "God's Smuggler"? The missionaries for whom I worked gave him some of his first contacts to Christians in Communist Eastern Europe.
I had some opportunities to travel "behind the Iron Curtain" and to meet brothers and sisters in Christ who, unlike virtually every American Christian, paid a dear price for their beliefs. Some of them emerged from the experience stronger in their faith and as human beings, and others didn't.
The time I spent with these people taught me many lessons. One of those lessons was that it can really hurt to be part of a religious or philosophical minority. You, my dear, appear to be in need of learning that lesson. I do not wish suffering upon you and hope that you can develop the empathy you need without having to actually suffer the pain.
I get it. You aren't ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You shouldn't be.
Do you sincerely believe that Jesus would gripe about a "Godly time" being ruined if someone who didn't believe in Him were to show up? Do you really believe that's what a "Christian group" is all about? Particularly one that meets on the rough equivalent of a street corner or in the public square?
Elle posted lies and fearmongering garbage that was not even the tiniest bit grounded in Scripture. She deserved to be called on the carpet for that. If I put something out here and claim it is from God's Word when it isn't, I hope I get called on the carpet too. I would like to hope that, unlike Elle, I will have the graciousness to accept the rebuke and publicly renounce what I said that was wrong.
(If she has done that somewhere that I've missed, I'd appreciate a link. I don't consider having the posts/thread/s in question removed sufficient to qualify as renouncing wrongdoing.)
