Just wanted to say.....

THANK YOU all for your prayers!  Today was my first day at work and I LOVED IT!  I cooked breakfast and lunch for 16 people.  For some reason I thought it would be difficult and it was NOT.  I use to cook before I became restuarant manager at one of my old jobs but there I did not have to worry about salt and sugar issues.  I just knew it was going to be a pain but today it was rather easy.  Only 2 people have special diets and its nothing major!

Friday evening I will work Aiding.  We first pass out meds, then around 4ish we start a very light supper.  All work is finished by 7ish so we just clean up as needed or play games with the residents or watch movies with them.

Since this is an ASSISTED LIVING and not a nursing home there is less stressful work.  All of the residents are able to do everything for themselves.  There are one or two that need help changing clothes but other than that, nothing major!

What an awsome place and the people there are great.  STAFF included!  This is a Christian based facility and you can feel it as soon as you walk in the door!  Such positive power in this facility.

Thank you all again for the prayers, over the past week.  The Lord led me to a great place and I so appreciate your support!  I've got to go sew my shirt up, as it is a bit too big!   Hugs to all!  Have a blessed night!

Glad you liked it !!

Nothing tastes as good as being thinner feels.

I have to walk early in the morning, before my brain figures out what I'm doing.

Hey Donna thank you for your kind words. I noticed it says that you are from the Pell City area.  Do you work for a facility owned by The Great Oak Management?  I know that they own 16 facilities through out Alabama, matter fact they are just now opening one...cant recall the area.
Anywho, thanks again!  And you are so right, it is a rewarding job.  I just love older people!
