idk if i told y'all this yesterday or not but
i came home from work monday evening to an eviction notice on my front door. apparently my landlord wants me out because my dog barks. (idk what he was thinking when he rented to us in the first place, knowing full well that i have a dog and that dogs bark but owells. whatever.) so basically, i have 7 days ****il this coming monday) to find a new home for my dog or else he's going to the lauderdale county police department to try and get us evicted. (and in the meantime my dog may just mysteriously disappear. i've had THAT happen before too!)
i refuse to get rid of my dog. this is mine and my daughter's best friend and he only barks at strangers that he's unaccustomed to and that he feels is a threat. he DOES NOT "nuisance bark" (i've had a dog in the past who did that and i know the difference.) so now i'm not really sure what to do. i am going to go speak with an attorney this afternoon and perhaps he can help me out. unfortunately though, he's a personal injury attorney and doesn't generally handle stuff like this. but i'm hoping that since my daughter and his son used to go to school together he can either help me out or at the very least, give me some guidance on who *might* be able to help me.
the only other thing that i can figure out right now is that maybe i can talk my landlord into letting us stay (WITH the dog!!!****il the end of 2008. and then maybe i can move back to decatur where my family is and maybe find a job there. but then again, who's going to rent to someone who doesn't even have a job???

I am so sorry about your problem Hun. Maybe you could keep him in a differant room that is the furthest away from the door, so that when he hears people walk by he wont bark. I dont know what else you could do (Put him in the bathroom?). But I will keep thinking about it!! Sorry I couldnt be more helpful. :(
