Dolls

Some of you know that when I went home to Texas I discovered that my doll collection from childhood through the last few years had been raided and the most valuable dolls had been sold off or stolen.  The replacement cost of the dolls was into the thousands of dollars.  I was sick, because some of them I had as a pre-school child and had been very careful with them all of these years.

To make a long story short, I went to online auctions and replaced the most precious of the dolls.

I know that God works miracles in many ways, but what happened with these dolls was nothing short of a "Job" experience.  You remember things were taken from Job, but he maintained his faith.  Then the things that were taken were restored with things of greater value.  Well, that is exactly what happened to me.  God and I had a long discussion about the situation, and I think I handled it on His terms.  And when I went to see if I could find replacements, I was allowed to find replacements of greater value at affordable prices.  Yes, I am a little put off at having to pay 10 to 20 times what the original dolls cost or to buy what was given to me, but I did manage to get the most precious ones replaced and safely stored.  I believe this was by God's grace, as the odds of these dolls even being available at any price was remarkable

What was even more remarkable was a whole series of events that allowed me to purchase these items, to find them missing at a time when I could replace them, etc.  There were just too many unusual coincidences that had to align for this to take place.  It was amazing.  I hope that the people who sold their dolls know that someone received them, who will love them as much as they did.

Most of you do not know me well in terms of my spiritual side, but I do not believe in coincidences in even the smallest things.  When I work in the yard and a butterfly comes and sit on my hand, I know it is a gift, not a coincidence., and most often the experience answers what I am pondering at the moment.  Gardening is often prayer in motion for me.

Karla, I am a true believer that God will give us the very desires of our hearts because He promises us that.  These dolls were very very important to your heart.  He knew that and I am thrilled that He allowed all of this to happen for you.  God loves us so much and what is important to us is important to Him.  I am so thrilled for you!!!!
