Finally home!

We drove over to Ga Friday to visit with my family. It was a busy weekend driving across north Ga but fun! My daughter turned 5 last week so we had a family birthday party for her complete with a UGA cake. This morning we went to church with my mom to the family church. My grandparents started attending the church back in 1936 and my mom was raised there. Its a teeny tiny church but they are trying to grow.

We just got in from church and I'm ready to finish eating dinner and head off to bed!

Thanks! I was giving my mom ideas on what they can do in the children's Sunday school room to help. When you look on the walls you see the flip charts that the church got back in 1985! I remember those from when we would go to church with my grandmother!!

We passed my father's family church. About 15 years ago they built a new building (steel industrial style) and tore down the old church with the original stained glass windows. I was reminded of all the times I sat there with my Meemaw.

Our home church built a new church a few years ago and have almost finished a multi purpose building.  There are a few in our church that can not agree to tearing down the old church.  It is still there.  I miss the "old times" when my boys were little and we were so active in our church.  We can't take an active role now because we are in someone else's church every weekend.  We love that too though.
