Morning Randall,

First before I forget you have a PM!

Ok now on to memories!  Mine also has to do with my grandmother.  I remember when we first moved to Alabama (Forkland) in 1977.  We lived right next door to grandma and in the mornings when I would get up I would disapear...yep over to grandmas house.  She got to where she would get up and while making her coffee, she would unlock the back to and leave it cracked so I could get in.  I remember every Saturday morning I would run over and get her avacode green foot stool set it right in front of the TV and watch cartoons, she would always fix me a bologna and ketchup sandwich.  I sure miss my grandma.  She died when I was little, around 1979 I think.

Of course I also remember when we were living there and grandpa was in the restroom and all of a sudden we heard him scream and went to cussing and it sounded like he was tearing up the bathroom.  He came runing out with his overhals down to his ankles, grabbinghis pant leg, screaming, " THERES A D*** MOUSE IN MY BRITCHES LEG".

Ya'll have a great day!

I love this post Randall. I immediately thought about my "pawpaw". I loved this dear man so much. He used to sit with me on his lap out on the front porch swing and teach me Bible stories and talk about his childhood and then about my mom when she was little. My pawpaw was an evangelist and for the first couple of years of my life I lived with him and grandma. Pawpaw would take me to his meetings and as a wee little girl I would get up on stage and sing. I have a wonderful christian heritage.

What's big with me right now is making new memories. I want to leave some wonderful memories for my family, especially my grandbabies. There's no way they can know how much I love them and how I would do anything and go without everything for them.

It's raining outside but the sun is shining in my heart.

Love,

Randall,

Great challenge!!!  I don't have great memories of my childhood. My childhood was a pretty bad one that I tend to block out.The one decent memory I do have is going to the park in the summer time(I am from Michigan so I am used to the cold weather and snow!!! )We would go have a picnic in the park.My sisters and I would go play on the playground while my mom and dad would barbeque and set up the table. We would have barbeque chicken, hamburgers, potato salad, coleslaw, pork n beans and chips w/dip.Boy them food stamps would buy alot back them!!!....lol.I have always loved that barbeque sauce...Open pit.yummo my favorite! I can't seem to find it down here though anymore.I remember coming home from one of our outings from the park and hearing about little Jessica Mcclure.Does anybody remember who she was? She was the little girl that fell in the well at her aunts house and was trapped for several hours.I think that happened in Texas."Juicy" was finally rescued!! Thank God!  Ever since then I have had a passion for children.I do thank my parents though I didn't have a good childhood.I have come into adulthood realizing that it is the past, can't change it, wouldn't change it because it has made me a stronger person today and I AM IN CHARGE of my life NOW.And because I went through it I discovered GOD and I WOULDN'T CHANGE THAT!!!!! So I do thank God for what I DO have and would go through it again my sisters wouldn't have to go through it as well. Thank You for reminding me what good came out of my life and what memories are all about!! I am very Blessed!!! Have Blessed Day!

With God's Great Love,
Brandy
