Friday Coffee Talk
WOO HOO!! It is Friday!! The weekend is just about here. Got big plans? I DO! I'm gonna get to see a LOT of my great friends at PF Changs tomorrow! I can not wait!
Anyway, LOL Good morning! I hope you slept good. I did. The rain coming down was such a peaceful sound. Kept the neighbor's dog quiet for one night. HA!
Our challenge for today is to cherish memories. Memories are great things to hold on to and enjoy. In our challenge today, I thought I would make it kind of fun. Why not share your favorite childhood memory with us? C'mon! Mine? I LOVE the memory of going to my grandmother's house on Christmas or any other time. She would spoil us rotten. One particular time, I can remember going and it snowed. We RARELY get snow. It was 1973 and there was over a foot here in Alabama. She put plastic bread bags on our feet and let us go out and play in the snow. We had a blast. Then she brought us in and gave us some hot coco. Talk about fun memories at my Grandmother's.....we had them! Share your's with us.
So, who's up? What cha sipping on? Me? I'm loving me some more Caribou Cofffee. Gotta love it. Especially when it is fresh ground. HEHE!

Thanks for the awesome challenge!! I have many fond memories of going to g-mas house too!! We used to go to her house and build castles and stuff with caps..!! My g-ma saved caps of everything from mouthwash to aerosol hairspray caps and boy did we have fun... I sure wish I had her wisdom and patience.. God rest her soul...

Didn't we always have fun at our Grandmother's house? Seems like they were something special. I miss my granny so much. My momma has fun now making memories with her grandkids. She loves them all. Even when they are bad. HAHAHA!

Good morning my dear friend!!!! One of my favorite memories would be my daddy going rabbit hunting. I was about 4 and we lived in a converted chicken house. Momma would put my chair up close to the oven to keep me warm because we only had a couple of space heaters in the house. Daddy would go hunting on Saturday sometimes and he would tell me that he would bring me a rabbit tail. Sure 'nuf...he would come home with me a rabbit tail. Those were times when we had so little, but had soooooooooooo much!!!!!
I am drinking a mixture of coffees this morning. I didn't want to grind any and wake everyone up, so I took a bunch of different left overs that were already ground and mixed it to make a pot. It is pretty good. You have a great day and I will see y'all tomorrow!!!! Love y'all!!!!

Michele and I were just discussing this . My fonds are the Fish Fries when my pa-paw would get out the Ole Black Iron cooker and build up a a fire , Man that fish was good !! Then my uncle would load us all up in the ice cream truck and take all us kids swimming. We had a blast. Folgers in my cup !! yum yum 
Good morning Randall! What a great challenge! This sounds silly. but I just loved sittng around with my grandparents and parents just listening to them talk about how things were when they were growing up! It was neat to me just listending to them!
Glad it's Friday! I've got a big weekend planned. Wish I could make it to Birmingham tomorrow, but I'm directing a wedding and reception....and today I'm making the Groom's cake! It's gonna be a busy one for me...but I got my coffee already this morning!

I can't be at PF Chang's tommorrow I am down at the beach visiting my family!
Tommorrow I am going into Ft. Walton and taking my MawMaw to see her baby brother who she hasn't seen in years (his wife passed with cancer just a mere 2 months ago). I will get to meet his whole family too! I am excited!
Sunday is Family Fun Day at our church. We do Children all day long-- Jacob is doing the morning scripture at church so I am honored to be here to see my baby do it!! We will have a fall festival in the afternoon too.
No coffee this morning unless I go out to get some. I don't have any filters! And my coffee maker is at MawMaw's the one here needs filters! Oh well....
I have so many awesome memories! And I am blessed with this time with My MawMaw.
I use to go to my MawMaw's everyday she lived right next door. We spent every Thanksgiving and Christmas at her house. She would cook these HUGE meals! And our whole family would surround two huge tables.
My favorite memories are working in the garden with my grandparents they had a garden over 10 or more acres. It was alot of work but boy did it pay off in the end!! I love vegetables still do this day -- and every kind. Can't think of one I don't like and must be because I was raised to like them all!!!!

Good Friday morning to everyone! Boy am I glad that the weekend is just hours away! I sipped on my espresso this morning. Only needed a single shot this morning cuz I slept to well. Didn't even need the alarm to get up again. Need to focus on my water intake again today. Even though I LOVE cold (bottled) water, I admit I haven't been getting it all in. Need to make it a priority.
I have been going down memory lane the last couple of weeks. I have had two friends from High School contact me in the last month. One found me through classmates.com and the other found me on Facebook. One of them was a very close, dear friend who moved away our senior year and we lost contact. Come to find out she lives about a half hour away from me now and so we are going to meet in Mobile one weekend for dinner and catch up on old times. I am sooo excited.
I also have good memories growing up. I had such a good childhood and have thanked my parents many times for being the terrific parents they were (and putting up with my antics as a teen...lol).
