OT: Punch question
I've tried LOTS of punch recipes...and used to direct/cater alot of weddings...here are my 2 favs:
1. Raspberry Ginger Ale - Schwepps used to sell it, but it's sometimes hard to find, so I go with regular ginger ale, and mix equal parts of a raspberry cola (sams choice, red rock, etc). Freeze it til it's slushy...you'll be surprised at how many people ask for the recipe.
2. Koolaid (any flavor/color), mixed with a can of pineapple juice, then add Sprite as you serve it. You can mix ahead and freeze some to a slush consistency too.
I've never been a fan of those sweet, syrupy, sherbert-type punches. Esp with wedding cake! I like something a little more tart. Just my opinion, lol.

Hi Nicole. Depending on the color scheme there are lots of punch recipes. My family favorite is the slush punch:
1 can pineapple juice
1 box strawberry jello made up
1 pack strawberry koolaid made
Mix all together and freeze until slushey.
We also make what we call Baptist Champaigne
it is just one bottle of white grape juice and 1 2 liter ginger ale. Chill good and mix together in punch bowl. This is used at weddings a lot because of the color.
