House Colors...WAY OT

What do you think about these colors?  Honestly?  We are thinking about which colors to paint the house.  Wanna help? 

House painted this color: Hawthorne Yellow



With shutters this color: Spanish Red



I hope you don't see red "x"s.  LOL

I like them...

I love the colors but.......my all time favorite is still white house green or black shutters. But then I'm a loooooooooot older and more old fashion than ya'll young whippersnappers. Love, Aunt Mary

Randall, I think those colors will look beautiful!!  We are just waiting on closing to get started on moving to Mississippi.  I can't wait to finally have a place of my own.  :)  Tell Lucy I hope she is feeling better soon.  There is a stomach bug going around over here, I hope that isn't what it is.

When I painted mine I rode the roads looking at others homes and what the colors looked like together . My house is a dark color with Kacky trim. I went darker because I noticed on the lighter colors you could see mildew and dirt allot , but thats my thinking I went with Eagle's nest with Kacky trim my new metal roof was burgandy . turned out real well !!  I like your colors to , you are the one who has to look at it  Love ya !!

Nice colors?  What type of exterior is your house? brick, vinyl or siding?

I like your choices.  Our house is brick so we went with tan (to match with mortar in the brick) and hunter green trim/shutters.

We JUST painted our house, outside. We used a color almost exactly like the Hawthorne yellow for the house & hunter green for the shutters, since our roof is hunter green metal.

Our house was white with green shutters before & it did look nice for a while, but it shows everything & we live in a big ole clay/sand box! That's why we picked the color similar to yours, it matches the dirt! LOL

I LIKE THE COLORS. wih one suggestion get a sample of both and paint an area with two coats and see what you think. We picked a similar "accent" color and really did not like it OUT of  the can. We went with caper for the n=main body, with red tea and creamy butter trims and black shudders......robert wanted orange and I said NO!

Gr88t choice of colors... I too have been wanting to paint our house, but inside.  I've also been looking at those choice of colors. I call them the Taco Bell colors...   I think I'll wait until they have the tour of homes at Christmas in my area to get some ideals.
